Figma application prototype

Brief

To develop a food application in response to an existing gap in the market. As a Type 1 diabetic, I count all of my carbohydrates and can only find this content by searching within various nutritional information documents released by individual food establishments. This is a lengthy process is a significant pain point for many, and thus formed the basis of my solution.

The final prototype was required to be developed to a high fidelity in Figma, including interactivity and functionality. In addition, the application required the design of a branding system, such as the name, colour palette, typography and button styles.

Solution

The Filtrd app allows users to create a profile and apply their allergen and macronutrient preferences, e.g., to exclude egg (including traces of), and filter options from 0–55 carbohydrates. Multiple profiles can be created, and foods matching all profiles are highlighted. Furthermore, Filtrd will suggest and automatically apply modifications to existing food options so that they suit a profile, e.g., removing onion from a burger for those with allergens.

The Filtrd app recommends local options and is available for collection and delivery, offering a simple, flexible way to exactly tailor choices from local food establishments.

Filtrd offers food freedom to users,
a simple and flexible way to filter local food choices by macronutrient and allergen information.
